What is the One Button Studio (OBS)?
The OBS promotes high-quality and a simplified workflow for creating video media to be used in courses and other aspects of the university such as training or communication videos.
Where is it located?
The ASU OBS is located at the is located on ASU’s West campus in Sands 322.
Who can use the OBS?
Currently, any and all ASU faculty, staff, and even students can use the studio.
What type of videos can I create in OBS?
There are four main styles of videos that can be created in the OBS.
1) A single presenter
2) A single presenter slides, websites or images as background
3) A single presenter slides, websites or images over the shoulder
4) Two (or more) presenters
Where can I publish my video?
The MP4 video file that is on your USB drive after you record can be published on most any of the popular video platforms such as YouTube, the Media+ video server at ASU and the EdPlus Wistia server. Other popular video publishers are Vimeo and Facebook.
I want to edit my video, add music or graphics, how do I do that?
Videos produced in the OBS can be imported to popular video editors such as Apple iMovie, Windows Movie Maker or high-end editors such as Adobe Premiere Pro. Studio users are responsible for both obtaining software licenses and performing the post-production (editing, graphics, music).
